Not taking aim

July 18, 2010 1 comment

I was half way through the first in my series of big rants (aimed at journalism for those who care) when I was like “God, I really can’t be bothered”. I’m in a happy place now, so I don’t really want to be giving out unless I absolutely have to (unlike journalists :P).

Let’s talk about other things. Poor Apple. The whole iPhone 4 debacle hasn’t done them any favors. Which is such a shame. I think it’s a really nifty phone. Lots of snazzy features. And it looks well slick. I want one. Screw it, I’ll hold it with my right hand. I’m right handed anyways. Steve was right. Just hold it a different way.

“Sleeping is the nearest thing to dying that you’ll ever do, so don’t do too much of it”

“I’m terrific” – something he says 20 times in the mirror every morning

A session with the recession

February 16, 2010 Leave a comment

This recession is odd business. You can clearly see the effects of it everywhere. Especially in my line of work. The biggest issue I’m always dealing with is finance and students that are struggling to get by.

And yet, every time I’ve gone out for a night on the town, the venue has always been PACKED. Hardly room to breathe let alone move. And this does be at the weekends when places are more expensive what with entry and drinks prices. Spy nightclub especially is just jammers. Why do people have no money and yet they go out and get lashed?! To drown their sorrows perhaps?
